Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Lt. Chris McMullin (Bucks County Sheriff's Office), PHILLY HOMICIDE is a one-hour docuseries that explores crimes that took place in Philadelphia -- a region steeped in rich history, vibrant culture, and known for tenacity and grit. Archival footage, exclusive first-person interviews with former and current Philly area detectives and cinematic recreations provide an insider's view into the heartrending cases Philly's finest diligently worked to solve in the city known as America's birthplace. Born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love, McMullin spent several years as a Philadelphia P.D. patrol officer before working his way up to become a detective with Bensalem P.D., where he investigated everything from robberies to assaults, sex crimes and homicides. Episodes include:

"End of Watch" (Saturday, October 26, 2024): When a veteran police officer is gunned down in the line of duty, detectives make it their mission to bring his killer to justice. While investigating in a troubled Philadelphia suburb, they soon uncover a crime of the ultimate betrayal.

"The Center City Devil" (Saturday, November 2, 2024): When a hospital employee is found mysteriously dead on a Center City sidewalk, detectives uncover surveillance footage of the murder that leads straight to the doorstep of a suspected serial killer who may be tied to a string of unsolved crimes.

"A Minute Changes Everything" (Saturday, November 9, 2024): A respected and beloved chiropractor is found bludgeoned to death in his home outside Philadelphia. Investigators take a hard look at those closest to him, but soon learn the murderer is someone they least expect.

"Darkness in Kensington" (Saturday, November 16, 2024): A young woman appears strangled and posed in the Kensington neighborhood; when more victims are found assaulted in an eerily similar fashion, detectives race against the clock to find the perpetrator before he strikes again.

"American Nightmare" (Saturday, November 23, 2024): When a Costa Rican computer programmer in search of the American Dream appears dead in his bathtub; detectives dive into a complex web of love, betrayal and organized crime, uncovering an unimaginable motive behind his brutal murder.

"When the Music Died" (Saturday, December 7, 2024): A Philadelphia DJ is found dead in a radio station parking lot; detectives untangle a web of deceit that proves the old adage that blood is thicker than water.

"Sinner and Saint" (Saturday, December 14, 2024): A secretary is found shot in the head inside a suburban Philadelphia church, putting the close-knit congregation on edge; as gossip and theories swirl, detectives unfold a strange tale of jealousy.

"The Creeper Killer" (Saturday, December 21, 2024): A beloved matriarch is found viciously murdered in her suburban Philadelphia home; detectives investigate the victim's inner circle and uncover a killer hidden in plain sight.

"One Killer, One Thousand Miles" (Saturday, December 28, 2024): A grad student is killed in her Rittenhouse Square apartment; detectives follow clues across the country, uncovering a hidden evil that changes how Philadelphia investigates sex crimes.

"Dancing for the Devil" (Saturday, January 4, 2025): When a college student and exotic dancer is found dead after being thrown from a bridge, detectives investigate the controversial players in Rachel's double life and come up with a killer they never imagined.
