Plot Synopsis

Inspired by Philip K Dick's short stories, ELECTRIC DREAMS is a one-hour, sci-fi anthology series that takes an audacious journey into the far reaches of the imagination, with each standalone episode set in a different and unique world -- some which lay in the far reaches of the universe, and others which are much closer to home. While the stories may be worlds apart, central to each is the poignant and warm exploration of the importance and significance of humanity. From five to 5000 years in the future, each tale both illustrates Philip K. Dick's prophetic vision and celebrates the enduring appeal of the prized sci-fi novelist's work. Each episode is inspired by one of Philip K. Dick's renowned short stories and has been adapted by leading American and British writers and directors, including Ronald D. Moore, Michael Dinner, Tony Grisoni, Jack Thorne, Matthew Graham, David Farr, Dee Rees, Travis Beacham, Jessica Mecklenburg, Francesca Gregorini, Alan Taylor and Peter Horton. Plus, the series features an all-star cast, including Steve Buscemi, Bryan Cranston, Greg Kinnear, Maura Tierney, Janelle Monae, Mireille Enos, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Timothy Spall, Liam Cunningham, Richard Madden, Holliday Grainger, Mel Rodriguez, Vera Farmiga, Jack Reynor, Essie Davis, Benedict Wong, Geraldine Chaplin, Juno Temple and David Lyons, among many others. This series, executive produced by Ronald D. Moore and Bryan Cranston, had its U.S. premiere on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon released the entire 10-episode first season.
