Plot Synopsis

Using first-person interviews with friends, family and law enforcement, each one-hour episode of THE PERFECT SUSPECT chronicles a different crime that seemingly has a perfect suspect. Is that person truly guilty of a heinous deed or were they just in the wrong place at the wrong time? In the season opener, "GI Gone," a mother of two vanishes the day before she is scheduled to report for Officer Training School. Her husband claims she ran off with another lover, but her family suspects something much worse. It takes 14 years for the truth to emerge...from the least likely of sources. Then, in the second episode, "Kentucky Confidential," a woman receives an offer to become an FBI informant, but she gets more than she bargained for.

When a man's body washes up in a Kentucky river, police question his ex-girlfriend. She is initially ruled out as a suspect for several reasons, but when a new detective takes a fresh look at the evidence, he comes to a very different conclusion.
