Plot Synopsis

Based on Elin Hilderbrand's 2018 book of the same name, THE PERFECT COUPLE is a six-episode mystery drama that follows Amelia Sacks, who is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket. Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season -- until a body turns up on the beach. As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer's novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect. "Happy Wedding Eve": Wedding guests arrive on Nantucket for the lavish rehearsal dinner at the Winbury estate, but the nuptials take a tragic turn when a body is discovered.

"She Would Never Do That": While police search Summerland for clues, Greer's swift attempt to control the narrative makes Amelia uneasy. A wedding guest tries to leave the island.

"The Perfect Family": Greer works to keep up appearances for a magazine interview. Abby shares a scandalous secret. Amelia says the quiet part out loud during a family dinner.

"Someone Could Get Hurt": Tough questions from Detective Henry deepen Amelia's suspicions. Greer receives a mysterious call. Tensions rise and tempers flare among the Winburys.

"Never Gonna Give You Up": As Tag's movements at the party come under scrutiny, Amelia asks some questions of her own. Greer's efforts to throw the perfect book launch go awry.

"That Feels Better": A twist in the police investigation plunges the Winbury family further into crisis. As long-buried secrets emerge, so does the truth about what happened.
