Plot Synopsis

On this daily, nationally syndicated courtroom series (check local listings), the honorable Judge Marilyn Milian renders verdicts and dispenses legal insight in the courtroom where justice and reality collide. Each one-hour episode of THE PEOPLE'S COURT features ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Running the gamut from disputes between neighbors and family members to dissatisfied customers suing businesses, Milian's decisions -- based on current law -- are final and binding.

Season 17 of this incarnation of THE PEOPLE'S COURT debuted on Monday, September 9, 2013, which was billed as the 30th Anniversary season by the official series site (http://peoplescourt.warnerbros.com/about/about.html), because Warner Bros. included all episodes from the original 1981 version of THE PEOPLE'S COURT.

THE PEOPLE'S COURT returned for its eighteenth season on Monday, September 8, 2014 with three new cases -- Nicking a Neighbor (Case #24-023); Brawling with a Brother (24-028); and Blowing Hot Air (24-042) -- all recorded earlier in the summer on June 8.

Season 19 premiered in national syndication (check local listings for time and channel) on Monday, September 7, 2015 with three new cases -- Causing an Accident (Case #25-019); Copping Out on a Copier (#25-010); and Dishing It to a Tenant (#25-006) -- which were all taped on June 13.

On Monday, September 6, 2021, THE PEOPLE'S COURT returned for its 25th season in national syndication (check local listings for time and channel). The season opener, show PC-25001, featured Judge Marilyn Milian presiding over three cases -- Not Cementing a Customer (case #31-024), Losing It with an Ex (#31-012), and The Old Bait and Switch Trick (#31-038) -- which were all filmed on June 5, 2021.

Season 26 of THE PEOPLE'S COURT premiered on Monday, October 17, 2022 in national syndication. Episodes during the first week were all taped on October 8, including: You Killed My Dog & Letting Her Lover Down (aired Oct 17); That's One Dirty Santa & Being One Key Short (Oct 18); Failing to Pay for a Fence; You Spin Me 'Round & 'Round Like a Record (Oct 19); Stealing Government Checks & Stereo Stalemate (Oct 20); and Letting a Lover Down & Feuding with a Neighbor (Oct 21).
