Each one-hour episode of PEOPLE MAGAZINE INVESTIGATES: CRIMES OF FASHION explores high-end fashion icons and their couture crimes that captured headlines. In three one-hour episodes, tales of depravity, obsession, and family betrayal in the fashion world all have a common thread -- cold-blooded murder. PEOPLE journalists have exclusive access behind the "labels" you know, going beyond the catwalk to reveal that fashion can sometimes prove fatal. In the season opener, "Assassination of Maurizio Gucci," Maurizio Gucci, the former head of the iconic fashion house, has just sold his shares in the company and divorced his wife. With a new love of his life and new business ventures, Maurizio's murder is less a case of who wanted him dead, but who didn't.

On July 15, 1997, two shots end the life of fashion designer Gianni Versace, sending authorities on a global manhunt for a deranged serial killer who has just killed his fourth victim.
