Plot Synopsis

PEACEMAKER is a drama series that explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises from the 2021 film THE SUICIDE SQUAD. Seriously misguided superhero Peacemaker is a vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost -- not matter how many men, women and children he has to kill to get it. A born killer with expertise in every weapon known to mankind, he survived his mission with Task Force X only to be enlisted to save the world once more with a new ragtag support team. With a jam for classic '80s hair metal and his bald eagle sidekick, Eagly, Peacemaker's heart is more or less in the right place -- if only his messed up head didn't get in the way. His team includes:

Leota Adebayo: The newest member of the team, Adebayo handles pretty much everything else. Although she's skill in weapons training and assorted super-secret spy craft, she's never really felt cut out for it. Newly married with little dogs she likes to dress up, Adebayo is the heart of the team and often its voice of reason. But she's got her secrets, too.

Emilia Harcourt: Formerly a member of Amanda Waller's team at Belle Reve, the cool-as-December Harcourt acts as Peacemaker's handler in the field. A lethal operative herself, she's got little patience for newbies like Adebayo and even less for a questionable "asset" like Peacemaker. She's fairly certain she got this gig because Waller is punishing her and Economos for their actions helping Task Force X in Corto Maltese.

Clemson Murn: Otherwise known as Mr. Murn, he has a seriously shadowy reputation that goes way, way back. A dark ops mercenary who's killed countless people -- and not always for the right side -- Murn plays his cards very close. No-nonsense and all-business, Murn has never shared a feeling in his life (not even feeling hungry) but is secretly on the path to becoming a deeper, more well-rounded individual. Assigned to lead the team personally by Waller, he holds many of the deepest secrets behind Project Butterfly.

Vigilante: Peacemaker's second best friend -- after Eagly, of course -- Vigilante lives for the thrill of the (crime) fight. With a somewhat unhinged penchant for shooting bad guys, blowing stuff up, creating as much mayhem as possible, Vigilante has been in serious kickass withdrawal in the years that Peacemaker's been locked up at Belle Reve. But now that he's back, they've got to make up for lost time. Although he's got a sense of humor, he seems to lack real human emotion. And although he'd never reveal his secret identity (even under extreme torture), he works as a busboy at Fennel Fields Mediterranean restaurant.

On Thursday, January 13, 2022, HBO Max released the first three episodes of PEACEMAKER, with a new episode dropping each Thursday through February 17.

On Tuesday, November 22, 2022 Warner Bros. Home Entertainment released PEACEMAKER: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON on DVD and Blu-ray with all eight super charged episodes and packed with exclusive special features.
