Plot Synopsis

Most stories end with the crime, but sometimes the crime scene represents just the tip of the iceberg. From a murder scene that tipped police off to a polygamist secret society to a random house fire that revealed family secrets that had been buried for decades, PANDORA'S BOX: UNLEASHING EVIL is a one-hour docuseries that uncovers investigations that get more sordid as every piece of evidence is examined. In the season opener, "Dungeon of Dread," when an off-duty police officer in San Francisco happens upon a minor theft at a lumberyard one Sunday afternoon, he unwittingly jumpstarts an investigation into one of California's deadliest, most depraved serial killers: Leonard Lake and Charles Ng. Season 2 of PANDORA'S BOX: UNLEASHING EVIL premiered on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Home Sweet Hell," a suspicious gun store robbery in Maryland piques the interest of the ATF, and ignites an investigation into violence, arson and murder. As detectives zero in on the suspect, they find themselves face to face with an unlikely killer.
