Plot Synopsis
Based on the books by Kass Morgan, THE 100 is set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, when the only surviving colony of humans, currently living on The Ark space station, sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. The delinquents are led by Clarke, a passionate and rebellious teenager, who holds important secrets and is the daughter of the colony's chief medical officer, Abby. On her expedition to Mount Weather, Clarke may joined by these young adults: Finn, a cool and charismatic free spirit, who's something of a folk hero because of his ability to bend the rules and escape unharmed; Octavia, an illegally second-born child, who grew up hidden in captivity and who follows her own path; Monty, a sweet and funny kid, who is the furthest thing from a delinquent, instead using his smarts and sense of humor to help the others on their quest; Bellamy, five years older than the next-oldest delinquent, is manipulative, strong and crafty; and Wells, who is disliked by the others because many of their parents have been imprisoned -- or worse -- by Wells' father, the chancellor of the space station.
The sophomore season premiered on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. Picking up where the Season 1 finale ended, Clarke is still alone in the white room, frantically trying to make sense of her bizarre surroundings, while the fate of Bellamy, Finn, and Raven is still unknown. Lincoln and Octavia's daring plan is thwarted and an enemy returns. Meanwhile, Abby, Kane and the survivors of the Ark must face physical and moral dilemmas in their dangerous and beautiful new world. Finally, Jaha makes a heroic decision.
Season 3 of THE 100 premiered on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. For two seasons, the refugees of THE 100 sent to Earth have been at war. First with themselves, then with the Grounders, and finally with Mount Weather. Many have lost their lives along the way. All have lost their innocence. They have learned the hard way that in the fight for survival, there are no heroes and no villains. There is only the living and the dead. But now the war is over. The battle against Mount Weather has been won. The prisoners have returned home to a world seemingly at peace, but can they find peace within themselves after what they had to do to escape? And is there more to life than just surviving? Unfortunately, their newfound sense of normalcy will be short-lived, and their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race. In the season opener, "Wanheda: Part One," three months have passed since the tragedy at Mount Weather and our heroes learn that a bounty has been put on Clarke's head. Unbeknownst to Clarke, a team led by Bellamy and Kane journeys deep into Grounder territory to save her. Meanwhile, Murphy finds his way to the mansion and discovers a very different Jaha on a very different mission.
The fourth season of THE 100 premiered on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. In the season opener, "Echoes," Clarke and her friends struggle with how to proceed after the fate of the world is revealed.
Season 5 of THE 100 premiered on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. Over the last four seasons The 100 have fought to survive against unimaginable odds, only to see the world end for a second time. The fifth season begins six years later, with the heroes still separated: Bellamy's team in space, Clarke on the ground, and hundreds trapped in the bunker below. But when a massive prison ship descends upon the last survivable place on Earth, The 100 must come together to reclaim their home. As two armies converge on one valley, alliances will shift, friends will become foes, and the march to war threatens to destroy all that's left of the human race. Can the heroes break the cycle, or is humanity doomed to repeat the past? In this epic battle for survival, one thing is certain: there are no good guys. In the season opener, "Eden," Clarke struggles to survive on a desolate, scorched earth while her friends in space come across a long-awaited beacon of hope.
On Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT, The CW premiered the sixth season of THE 100. In the season opener, "Sanctum," still reeling after receiving Monty's message, a small group goes down to explore the mysterious new planet. Back on the Mothership, several members of Wonkru face the consequences of their decisions.
The seventh and final season of THE 100 premiered on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT on The CW. In the season opener, "From the Ashes," Clarke and her friends attempt to rebuild Sanctum as a new threat rises in the woods.
