Plot Synopsis

In a dystopian world of rigid expectations, young students face extreme academic and social pressures as mothers tighten the screws in the midst of family dysfunction. Each 100-minute episode tells a different story, including: a single mother who uses a device to grant her utter control over her son's life after discovering that he faked his report cards; a mother who uses nascent technology to delve inside the mind of her daughter to better understand the reasons behind why she took her own life; a student from a modest home who attends an elite private school, where she makes a life-altering deal with a talking peacock in the schoolyard; a mother who resorts to extreme measures to avoid losing social standing after her daughter's slipping grades threaten their status in life. ON CHILDREN had its U.S. premiere on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released five episodes of this anthology series.
