Plot Synopsis

OFF THE CHAIN is a stand-up comedy series that highlights performances by talented African American comics. The first two seasons, hosted by comedian Rodney Perry, are comprised of half-hour episodes that each feature performances from multiple comics. In Season 1, each 30-minute episode features sets from three of these comedians, including: SNL alum Dean Edwards; Chaunte Wayans, the Wayans' brothers' niece; Rudy Rush, former host at the Apollo; Dexter Tucker, Chris Tucker's younger brother; and many more comics like Rashaun Reese, Willie Lynch Jr., Tony Tone, Nema Williams, Coolaide, Red Grant, and more. OFF THE CHAIN returned for its second season on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on Bounce TV, continuing the same format from the first season: half-hour episodes, each featuring three comedians. The season opener featured comedians Erik Clark, Nate Jackson, and Marcus Harvey, and these three comics appeared the following week: Clayton English, Vanessa Fraction, and Mark Viera.

On Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, Bounce TV debuted the Season 3 premiere of OFF THE CHAIN, which returned with a new format: hour-long episodes with one comic per show. Actress/comedienne Kim Coles opened the third season, with subsequent episodes featuring one of these three comics: Michael Colyar, Rodney Perry, Cocoa Brown, Nore Davis, Jordan Carlos, Rudy Rush and Roy Jackson.
