Plot Synopsis

"NYC Prep" chronicles the busy and privileged lives of six high-school teenagers from the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Camillle is a witty 16-year-old junior who balances lacrosse, SATs, and the debate team while playing peacemaker and looking for the perfect boyfriend -- but she has yet to find somebody who meets her impossibly high standards. A 17-year-old senior, Jessie is a fashionista with hopes of finding the right fashion internship and being accepted to FIT while co-chairing the "Operation Smile" committee and running large charity events. Kelli, a 17-year-old junior, is new to the Manhattan social scene but is instantly accepted -- partly because her parents spend most of their time in the Hamptons and her friends crash at her place. She focuses most of her energy on her singing career, working with a team of voice coaches, producers, image consultants, and stylists while setting up a benefit to raise money for cerebral palsy, which afflicts her older sister. PC is an 18-year-old senior who is a four-sport athlete (ice hockey, tennis, golf and soccer), photography lover, and music aficionado. On his quest to prepare himself for college, he reconnects with his old friend Jessie -- his former girlfriend and best friend who have lost touch. As a native French speaker and certified ocean lifeguard, Sebastian has become the epitome ladies' man who always gets the hottest girl. This 16-year-old sophomore also enjoys soccer, tennis, and debate and has participated in several HMUN (Harvard Model United Nations) events. Taylor is the youngest member of the group and partly an outsider. She is a 15-year-old sophomore at the local public magnet school but finds the time to crash parties with the Upper East Siders. She competes on her school's gymnastics and roller-hockey teams while spending six days a week at the prestigious STEPS dance program. "NYC Prep" shows how these students lives intertwine as they network, shop, party, study, date and write college applications. The series also documents the lives of those around them -- their families, doormen, and their entourage (trainers, college application advisors, stylists).
