Plot Synopsis
Based on the Australian TV series of the same name, NO ACTIVITY is a half-hour comedy series from Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Funny Or Die. Set against the world of a major drug cartel bust, the series follows: Detectives Nick Cullen and Judd Tolbeck, two low-level cops who have spent far too much time in a car together; two criminals, Marco and Angus, who are largely kept in the dark; two dispatch workers, Fatima and Janice, who haven't really clicked; and two Mexican tunnelers, Roberto and Miguel, who are in way too small a space considering they've only just met. Guest stars include Mark Berry, Mackenzie Davis, Bridget Everett, Will Ferrell, Darren Gilshenan, Travis Guba, Jake Johnson, Fred Pohl, Alex Rodriguez, J.K. Simmons, Courtenay Taylor, Michaela Watkins and Daniel Zolghadri.
On Thursday, November 22, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, CBS All Access released the entire eight-episode second season of NO ACTIVITY. Patrick Brammall and Tim Meadows return for Season 2, along with guest stars Jake Johnson, Sunita Mani, Jason Mantzoukas, Amy Sedaris and J.K. Simmons. New guest stars for the second season include Jessica Alba, Chris Gethard, Max Greenfield, Joe Manganiello, Cristin Milioti, Nasim Pedrad, and more. In the new season, Detectives Cullen and Tolbeck are back in Car 27 on a new stakeout; meanwhile, the SDPD is rocked by a massive corruption scandal, and the culprit might be close to home.
NO ACTIVITY returned for its third season on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as CBS All Access released the all eight episodes of Season 3. Following last season's disastrous bust, the new season finds Detectives Nick Cullen and Judd Tolbeck back in uniform with a revolving door of quirky new partners and even quirkier criminals, while robots edge in on Janice and Fatima in dispatch. Season 3 guest stars include: George Basil (Gary), Beth Behrs (Sophie Beyers), Joe Keery (Jon Reinhardt), Keegan-Michael Key (Cody Brock), Bunny Levine (Judy), Sunita Mani (Fatima), Jason Mantzoukas (Dustin), Dylan McDermott (Clint), Paula Pell (Daisy), Erin Pineda (Doris), Angus Sampson (Chief), Amy Sedaris (Janice), J.K. Simmons (Leon).

The fourth season of NO ACTIVITY debuted on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Paramount+ released the first episode. A new episode debuts each Thursday thereafter. In Season 4, Special Agent Nick Cullen is finally realizing his dream of joining the FBI -- only to quickly discover being an FBI "special agent" isn't what he expected it to be. When he's assigned to a seemingly dull observation detail, he finds a potential career case in the form of an emerging cult. When a large scale operation takes aim at the cult, it's unclear which side will break first. Despite the promotion, Cullen's path continues to cross with former partner Judd Tolbeck's, who is also adjusting to life with a new partner of his own. Joe Keery, Sunita Mani, Jason Mantzoukas, Bob Odenkirk and Amy Sedaris return and are joined by a group of new guest stars, including Louie Anderson, Kevin Bacon, Jillian Bell, D'Arcy Carden, Rob Delaney, Elle Fanning, Will Forte, Kimberly Hebert Gregory, Udo Kier, Lamorne Morris, Oscar Nunez, Hannah Simone, June Squibb and Samara Weaving.
