Plot Synopsis
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL kicks off its 55th season (19th on ESPN) on Monday, September 9, 2024, with legendary broadcast duo Joe Buck and Troy Aikman marking their third season on ESPN. The duo are joined by sideline reporter Lisa Salters, who returns for her 13th season, extending her run as MNF's longest tenured sideline reporter. Laura Rutledge joins the broadcast in Week 1, reporting on the 49ers while Salters reports on the Jets. ESPN's 2024-25 NFL schedule features 25 games, headlined by 21 Monday Night Football matchups, the return of the Week 18 Doubleheader Saturday, a Monday night Super Wild Card and Divisional playoff game. Schedule enhancements return, such as ABC exclusive games and simulcasts, an ESPN+ exclusive game, and multiple Monday Night Football games on the same night.
