Plot Synopsis

This one-hour reality series follows the employees of Next Step Realty, a Manhattan-based real-estate firm that specializes in helping recent college graduates find their apartments in New York City. Besides navigating the challenges of a cut-throat real-estate market, these realtors must also deal with interpersonal and professional conflicts in the workplace. The series opens with CEO Blair Brandt revealing that he's looking to fill a coveted Managing Broker position, causing a battle between the group's ambitious young realtors. Agents Matt and Bri fight to expand their roles in the office hierarchy; meanwhile, the rest of the team speculates whether Blair's new relationship status -- dating salesperson Margit -- is affecting his better judgment. After being promoted to Managing Broker, Matt goes on a power trip by making a deal with David that undermines Erin's power as Director of Client Relations, but their plan backfires. When Matt's new promotion suddenly comes under scrutiny, Blair steps in to avoid a potential mutiny.

With two big-commission listings still up for grabs, the race is far from over. The morning after Next Step's girls' night out, Erin is not sure what's going to hurt more, her hangover or the wrath of her co-workers over the secrets she's divulged.
