Plot Synopsis

Field experts and game wardens dive into dangerous waters and enter wildlife warzones, investigating mysterious occurrences and odd behavior that afflict the animal kingdom. Whether they're following a pride of lions with a sudden appetite for giraffes, revealing how an elephant turned into a serial killer, or exploring why pigs are erupting in flames, NATURE SHOCK highlights discoveries that could rewrite science and spell doom for certain species. Each 60-minute episode examines a different freak occurrence in the natural world, like: a series of explosive fires that ravaged pig barns across North America; the unusually high death rate among elephants at the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary; the mysterious arrival of sixty blacktip sharks; and other baffling animal phenomena.
