Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Jane Krakowski, with band leader Randy Jackson, NAME THAT TUNE is a one-hour game show tests contestants' music knowledge, as they battle it out in an assortment of challenging musical games for cash and prizes. Each one-hour episode is comprised of two stand-alone half-hour contests, each pitting two players against each other as they race against the clock to test their knowledge of songs, performed by the live band. Each contest features a rotating variety of games from the original format, before the iconic Bid-a-Note round. The player with the most money at the end of Bid-a-Note wins the game and takes his or her bank into the Golden Medley bonus round, for a chance to win additional cash and potentially the $100,000 grand prize.

The sophomore season of NAME THAT TUNE premiered on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on FOX, with host Jane Krakowski and band leader Randy Jackson returning for a new season. The season premiere episode features TV personality/actress/singer Kelly Osbourne, playing for the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai vs. singer/songwriter/actress JoJo, playing for The Hole in the Wall Gang; and former NFL star/Super Bowl champ/actor Vernon Davis, playing for the Vernon Davis Foundation vs. former NFL star/Super Bowl champ Victor Cruz, playing for the Victor Cruz Foundation. Season 3 of NAME THAT TUNE premiered on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT on FOX. Host Jane Krakowski and band leader Randy Jackson both return for the new season, which features challenging games that test the musical knowledge of athletes, musicians, actors, TV personalities, comedians and Olympians -- all playing for their favorite charities. Each one-hour episode is comprised of two stand-alone half-hour contests, each pitting two players against each other. In the mid-season debut, "Spice Up the Tunes," Singer/Songwriter and Media Singer/Songwriter and Media Personality Melanie C., playing for Support and Feed takes on Actor/Singer/Songwriter Darren Criss, playing for Planned Parenthood and World Champion Hurdler and Bobsledder Lolo Jones, playing for the Lolo Jones Foundation takes on TV Personality/Actor/Designer Carson Kressley playing for Kempton Community Center.

On Monday, September 9, 2024 at 8pm ET/PT, FOX premiered the Season 4 finale of NAME THAT TUNE. Ethan, a software engineer from Chicago, IL, and Erika, a digital strategist from Los Angeles, CA go head-to-head in game one. In game two Sasha, a realtor from Albuquerque, NM is up against Sharmayne, a small business owner from Alameda, CA.

NAME THAT TUNE has been renewed for a fifth season.
