Plot Synopsis

Motorcycle maven Mike Seate and master motorcycle builder Bryan Fuller take viewers inside the underground society of the cafe racer -- the motorcycle with the signature rumble of the engine, the indelible smell of burning rubber, and the unmatched heritage of "cool" that have made this two-wheeled subculture the home for Hollywood stars, barnyard builders, and thrill seekers worldwide. Season 3 includes: a visit to the legendary NCR Ducati shop in Italy to acquire exclusive parts for a one-of-a-kind build; a Bostrom Brothers' surprise build; lighting fast tests at Little Talledega; a controversial custom build that that will exceed six figures; and an exclusive look into the Cretins, America's first cafe racing society. This series, still airing as CAFE RACER, returned for its fifth season on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on Velocity, with a season opener that featured actress Katee Sackhoff choosing backyard builders Classified Moto to create a one-off cafe racer for her, which is later declassified when Jay Leno sneaks a late night peak at her new ride.

Velocity premiered the sixth season of this series on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, changing the name of the program from CAFE RACER to NAKED SPEED. In the season opener, "Loaded Gun Customs and Dustin Kott," Dustin Kott of Newall, CA, is a builder on the rise who specializes in mid-1970s Hondas. A lone wolf, he will be challenged to build out a junkyard find and impress an Alpha pack that includes Champion road racers Ben and Eric Bostrom and former professional road racing cyclist Lance Armstrong. Kevin Dunworth of Loaded Gun Cycles is a motorcylce builder who may just have met his match when it comes to going fast. His client, Kaillie Humphries, is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and current world champion bobsledder for Canada. She's demanded Kevin build a bike that feeds her insatiable appetite for speed.
