Plot Synopsis

Each episode of "Naked Science" chronicles a scientific investigation into one of the big mysteries of our time, allowing experts to conduct experiments and lay out realistic scenarios that confirm or debunk common assumptions and misconceptions. Topics include: the effects of a dirty bomb being detonated on a busy street; the likelihood of inhabiting the moon by 2020; future technologies that can be used to defend against natural disasters, such as asteroids, hurricanes, and super-volcanic eruptions; and the possibility that the Earth's magnetic field will switch polarity, affecting all living creatures.
