Plot Synopsis

When parents agree to financially assist a child making a first home purchase, they also insist on helping find the right property. In each 30-minute episode, a real-estate agent shows the family three different properties, trying to satisfy the very different needs and desires of the young adults and the parents. Whether the buyer is a party boy who wants to be close to the club scene, a young single actor who simply wants his own place, or a young medical student who is looking for a condo, family members struggle with generational differences as they select one property from three distinctly different options. HGTV aired the U.S. premiere of MY HOUSE, YOUR MONEY on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 8:30pm ET.
