Plot Synopsis

After evil billionaire Abraham Kane purchased Detroit and transformed it into Detroit Deluxe -- a futuristic metropolis in which he banned personal freedoms, including automobile transportation -- a 17-year-old rebel, Mike Chilton, retreated to Motorcity, an underground city where he formed a resistance movement with a renegade group called The Burners. In Motorcity, The Burners customize their fleet of hot rods and pursue their quest to stop Kane from taking over their last subterranean oasis of freedom. The Burners want to liberate the citizens of Deluxe from Kane's clutches, while also trying to keep Kane's high-tech SafeTBots, who patrol the ground and the sky, from infiltrating Motorcity. The Burners include: Mike, a strong-willed and free-spirited teen, who was once of Kane's cadets until he realized his evil plans; Chuck, a tech-savvy guru, who rides shotgun in Mutt, Mike's car, and never lets his timidity get in the way of his loyalty to his friends; Julie, the smart and witty backup for Mike, who also serves as an insider at Kane Co, Abraham Kane's company; Texas, all muscle and brute-force, who has a bit of an ego but is extremely loyal to the group; and Dutch, an artistic expert in car mechanics, who is the most level-headed of the group.
