Plot Synopsis

MR. SUNSHINE is a Korean-language drama series that centers on the story of a young boy, Euguene Choi (aka Yu-jin), who ends up in the U.S. after the 1871 Shinmiyangyo incident as a Korean-American US Marine officer, and then returns to Korea at a historical turning point and falls for an aristocrat's daughter, Go Ae-sin, who becomes a patriotic assassin. The story opens with Yu-jin surviving in America -- as Eugene, and Ae-sin realizing that great change is afoot with global ramifications. On Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the first episode of MR. SUNSHINE.
