Plot Synopsis

MISSOURI MOUNTAIN FAMILY is a one-hour reality series that follows the Haumessers, a family living a fully self-reliant lifestyle, free of modern convenience, reminiscent of 1800s settlers. This tight knit family wants to live a life unencumbered -- devoid of economic or social pressure from society -- a life centered on family and god. They are seven fervent brothers, one daughter, four spouses, six small children, and a loving mother. On Monday, March 6, 2017 at Midnight ET/PT, Animal Planet debuted back-to-back episodes. In the premiere (Midnight), "Welcome to the Family," after a harsh winter and near-fatal accident, the Haumessers struggle to get back on track and begin projects that keep the homestead running. The largest project being a field burn to enrich the soil, and it'll take everyone to get the job done safely. Then, in the second episode (1am), "New Beginnings," spring has arrived on the homestead and with that comes new life and a lot of hard work. As Isaac and Emily prepare to get married, the family helps them build their new house before the big day. Of course, nothing ever goes as planned on the farm.
