Plot Synopsis

This Chinese remake of MISS FISHER'S MURDER MYSTERIES is set in 1930s Shanghai, where socialite Su Wenli returns home from Paris to solve murder cases with a reluctant and righteous police inspector, Luo Qiuheng. Each murder mystery is told in two episodes. For the first case, upon returning to Shanghai, Su Wenli visits an old friend whose husband is later found dead. After the death is ruled a homicide, Su Wenli suspects the victim was poisoned -- but who would want the prominent businessman dead? After her friend suspects that the servants, Taozi and Li Qiaomei, killed her husband, Su Wenli's investigation leads her to an unlikely location...where the real killer is waiting. MISS S made its U.S. debut on Thursday, July 7, 2022, as HBO Max released 30 episodes of MISS S.
