Plot Synopsis
The contestants vying for the title of Miss America exemplify all that is best in today's modern woman -- a talented, intelligent and well-spoken leader with a strong commitment to her community, an understanding of the importance of health and fitness, and a role model for millions of women.
MISS AMERICA 2014 was broadcast by ABC on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 9pm ET (live)/9pm PT (tape delay) from Atlantic City, featuring a panel of judges that included: 'N Sync singer Lance Bass; former NBA Rookie of the Year Amar'e Stoudemire; Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell; comedian and performer Mario Cantone; SHARK TANK investor Barbara Corcoran; and former Miss America Diedre Downs Gunn, who was the last Miss America to be crowned in Atlantic City -- nearly nine years earlier. Plus, Chris Harrison returned as host, with new co-host Lara Spencer.
On Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 9-11pm ET (live)/PT (tape delay), ABC broadcast THE 2015 MISS AMERICA COMPETITION live from Atlantic City's famed Boardwalk Hall. Hosted again by Chris Harrison and Lara Spencer, this year's judging panel includes: Marc Cherry; Donald Driver; Kathy Ireland; Shawn Johnson; General Anne Macdonald; former Miss America Lee Meriwether; and Gary Vaynerchuk.
ABC telecast MISS AMERICA 2016 live from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 9-11pm ET (live)/PT (tape). Hosted by Chris Harrison and Brooke Burke-Charvet, this year's event the 95th anniversary broadcast, features music curator Nick Jonas, and head judge Vanessa Williams, who is joined by celebrity judges Brett Eldredge, Taya Kyle, Danica McKellar, Kevin O'Leary, Amy Purdy and Zendaya.

Hosted by Chris Harrison and Sage Steele, this year's event features a panel of celebrity guest judges that includes: entrepreneur Mark Cuban, Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas, actress Sara Foster, musician and actress Laura Marano, singer-songwriter Cole Swindell, former Miss America Sharlene Wells Hawkes, and entertainer Ciara.
Hosted by Chris Harrison and co-hosted by Sage Steele, THE 2018 MISS AMERICA COMPETITION aired live on ABC on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 9-11pm ET (live)/PT (tape) from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Judges include: TV and SiriusXM host and bestselling author Maria Menounos; former Miss America Nina Davuluri; ACM Male Vocalist of the Year Thomas Rhett; author, actress and model Molly Sims; multi-platinum recording artist and actress Jordin Sparks; and PEOPLE Editor in Chief Jess Cagle. The panel evaluates the contestants' performances in the following categories during the live broadcast: Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit, Evening Wear, Talent, Interview and On-Stage Questions.
Hosted by Carrie Ann Inaba and co-hosted by Ross Mathews, THE 2019 MISS AMERICA COMPETITION aired live on ABC on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 9-11pm ET (live)/PT (tape) from Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Judges include: former boxer, author and television personality Laila Ali; nationally syndicated on-air personality and author Bobby Bones; country music singer/songwriter Jessie James Decker; award-winning music producer and television host Randy Jackson; news anchor Soledad O'Brien; entrepreneur and founder of Dry Bar Alli Webb; and singer, songwriter, author and television host Carnie Wilson. The panel evaluates the candidates during the competition, when 51 exceptional women take center stage showcasing intellect and talent while representing their home states (and District of Columbia) all competing for the job and coveted title of Miss America 2019.

MISS AMERICA 2020 premiered on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 8-10pm ET (live)/PT (tape) on NBC, with Kit Hoover and Mario Lopez hosting from Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. The live two-hour telecast follows the 51 candidates as they compete for life-changing scholarships to be used to continue their efforts toward community service and education. The show highlights a diverse group of young students and professionals who are advancing the message of female strength, independence and empowerment through their efforts in the areas of scholarship, talent and social impact. The judges are Lauren Ash, Karamo Brown, and Kelly Rowland.
