Plot Synopsis

Created by showrunner Ellen Rapoport and set in 1970s Los Angeles, MINX is a comedy series that centers around Joyce, an earnest young feminist who joins forces with Doug, a low-rent publisher, to create the first erotic magazine for women. Joyce had been working on "The Matriarchy Awakens" for years, and is finally encouraged to pitch her idea, but she's soundly rejected. Doug later follows up with her, and he suggests adding nude men to her magazine. With the project off to a rocky start and Joyce deciding to quit, she's soon inspired by the cover of newest "Cosmo" on the newsstand. She realizes Doug just might be right about women's desire to buy magazines featuring male sex symbols, so she re-unites with Doug to launch their own magazine, "Minx." The first two episodes dropped on Thursday, March 17, 2022 on HBO Max, with a new episode debuting each Thursday through April 14. MINX made its linear television debut on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 9:35pm ET/PT on Starz.

The sophomore season of MINX debuted on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on Starz. In Season 2, Doug and Joyce grapple with Minx's explosive success, which brings more money, fame and temptation than either of them know how to handle. In the season opener, "The Perils of Being a Wealthy Widow," one year into launching Minx Magazine, Joyce struggles to pick a new publisher she can trust. Drowning in debt, Doug scrambles to keep his company afloat. Shelly goes back to the 'burbs to focus on her family.

On Friday, September 8, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT, Starz premiered "Woman of the Hour," the 35-minute Season 2 finale of MINX. At the Minx International launch party, Doug confronts Constance, while Joyce starts to lose control of her magazine; Shelly and Lenny look toward an uncertain future.
