Plot Synopsis

From creator/screenwriter Steven Rogers, MIKE is an eight-episode limited series that takes an unauthorized look at the life of Mike Tyson, exploring the tumultuous ups and downs of his boxing career and person life -- from being a beloved global athlete to a pariah and back again. The series also examines class and race in America, fame and power of media, misogyny, the wealth divide, and the promise of the American Dream -- all through the lens of Mike's story. MIKE debuted on Thursday, August 25, 2022, as Hulu released the first two episodes. Two new installments debut each Thursday through September 15.

"Thief" (Thursday, August 25, 2022): From the perspective of his one-man-show, Mike Tyson asks the question "Who am I?" as he reflects on his childhood in Brownsville, New York, where he already has 37 arrests on his record by the time he is just 13.

"Monster" (Thursday, August 25, 2022): us D'amato discovers Mike at 13, gives him discipline, extremely honed skills and an ego, transforming Mike into the youngest Heavyweight Champion of all time. But at what cost?

"Lover" (Thursday, September 1, 2022): Mike falls hard for Robin Givens and asks, "How can someone who hates himself love anyone else?"

"Meal Ticket" (Thursday, September 1, 2022): Newly single with unlimited access to the world, Don King encourages Mike's excessive lifestyle, causing him to lose his title to Buster Douglas in the biggest upset in boxing history.

"Desiree" (Thursday, September 8, 2022): An 18-year-old honor student from a small town in Rhode Island named Desiree Washington accuses Mike of rape.

"Jailbird" (Thursday, September 8, 2022): Mike reflects on his 3 years behind bars at the Indiana Department of Corrections.

"Cannibal" (Thursday, September 15, 2022): Tyson examines the complicated events that led up to his fight with Evander Holyfield and the "bite heard round the world."

"Phoenix" (Thursday, September 15, 2022): Mike faces his demons, going from the most despised man in the world to beloved figure, as he comes to terms with who he really is.
