Plot Synopsis

MIAMI FLIP is a half-hour reality series that follows licensed contractor and fearless renovator Carolina Sullivan and her team of experts, as they flip homes in the Magic City. Each season follows Carolina as she flips a single home, with the renovation taking place over multiple episodes. On Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11pm ET/PT, DIY Network aired "New House, New Life," the show's pilot episode, when the program had its original title, MIAMI REHAB. In the pilot, Carolina buys a '50s block home with an interesting masonry wall, and then transforms the mid-century wreck into a cozy Miami cottage by redoing the kitchen, floors, walls, roof and windows. Fifteen months later, DIY Network aired the official series premiere on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 11pm-Midnight ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the series premiere, Carolina buys an older home in an online auction -- sight unseen -- because of its location in a prime neighborhood. The episode follows Carolina as she breaks through concrete blocks and knocks down interior walls to create an open-concept floorplan. The renovation moves fast until mistakes happen with kitchen measurements that threaten to derail Carolina's time and budget plans.
