Plot Synopsis

MEGA ZOO is a one-hour docuseries that follows 800 dedicated staff members as they look after more than 5000 extraordinary animals at three zoos in Victoria, Australia: Melbourne Zoo in the heart of the city, Werribee Open Range Zoo's savannah, and Healesville Sanctuary's bushland setting. The series chronicles how keepers and veterinarians care for this amazing menagerie of creatures. Using innovative training methods, state-of-the-art facilities and the latest medical technology, they show what it takes to run a busy modern zoo at the forefront of fighting wildlife extinction. In the series opener, "Miska's Big Reveal," vet Leanne races to rescue critically injured koalas from Austrlia's blazing bushfires. Plus, a two-ton rhino calf named Kipenzi wreaks havoc in the zoo trucks, and the carnivore team eagerly awaits to see if snow leopard Miska reveals an exciting secret.
