MARVEL'S THE DEFENDERS is a one-hour series that follows four members of the street-level hero team known as The Defenders -- Daredevil AKA Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist AKA Danny Rand -- a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal: to save New York City from common enemies as a sinister conspiracy threatens the Big Apple. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who reluctantly realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. Unaware their paths are about to cross -- just as a new conspiracy takes shape -- Matt finds old habits are hard to break, Jessica gets in over her head, Luke tracks a lead, and Danny meets his match. Netflix released the eight-episode first season of THE DEFENDERS on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
