Plot Synopsis

Based on Marvel Comics comic book series of the same name, MARVEL'S RUNAWAYS is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe -- their parents. This series explores the younger side of the Marvel Universe in a coming-of-age, action series focused on these teens. Alex Wilder is a loud-and-proud nerd. Admittedly a bit of a loner, Alex spends much of his free-time playing video games, but deep down, what he wants most is to reunite his childhood group of friends. Nico Minoru is tough, intelligent, and independent, embodying teenage angst. A budding Wiccan, Nico's carefully crafted goth appearance isolates her from her peers and family, but maybe what she really needs is someone to talk to. Karolina Dean has a model-perfect exterior with a lot going on behind her professionally whitened smile, but is burdened by the lofty expectations and responsibilities put upon her by her parents. Underneath her veneer of privilege and perfection, Karolina is experiencing a newfound eagerness to explore her identity and pursue her own desires. Gert Yorkes is a purple-haired, bespectacled, contemporary riot grrrl. Never passing up a moment to stand on a soapbox, Gert sometimes wields her persona as a brash social justice warrior to mask her true feelings. Chase Stein is a lacrosse-playing, high school heartthrob. While many write him off as a dumb jock, Chase exhibits flashes of untapped brilliance in engineering, not unlike his wildly successful father's. Molly Hernandez, the youngest and most innocent member of her friend group, is known for her peppy positivity and a deep yearning to belong. On Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Hulu released the first three episodes of MARVEL'S RUNAWAYS.

Season 2 of MARVEL'S RUNAWAYS premiered on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Hulu released all 13 episodes of the second season. The Runaways have left their homes (and evil parents) behind and now have to learn to live on their own. As they scavenge for food, search for shelter, and take care of one another, our kids begin to realize that, for better or worse, they're stuck with each other. And it's up to them to take down PRIDE once and for all. But someone sent a mysterious message to Jonah... Is there a mole in the Runaways? Meanwhile PRIDE is focused on finding their children, and Jonah has his own dangerous plan in mind.

The 10-episode third and final season of MARVEL'S RUNAWAYS debuted on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Hulu released the entire season. After evading corrupt parents, battling powerful aliens and coming face-to-face with the world's most powerful sorceress, the conclusion to this epic saga leaves no stone unturned. The Runaways frantically search for their captured friends Chase, Gert, and Karolina. The kids go head to head with an unstoppable enemy who has targeted Leslie -- or more accurately, the child she's carrying. Nico draws them all into a dark realm where its ruler, Morgan le Fay, is much more nefarious than anyone the kids have yet to face.
