Plot Synopsis

As Adam Richman travels the nation visiting towns and sampling their local flavors, this time he finds fans to walk in his shoes and brave the spiciest, cheesiest and tastiest specialties. In this new series, Adam cheers for: a Yale freshman at his second attempt to take down the Cheese Truck Challenge -- to consume 10 grilled cheese sandwiches in one hour; pro-wrestler Jerry "Nasty" Sags to victory in his attempt to extinguish the Davy Jones Challenge -- a scorching hot platter of 10 wings loaded with habaneros and capsaicin extract; country-music-stars The Lo Cash Cowboys through the Rooster Challenge at Roosters Texas Style BBQ -- a 72 oz steak you can barely fit on a plate; Tulsa's bravest firefighters through the Joe Mamma's Incinerator Spicy Pizza Challenge -- ten scorching hot slices topped with diced habaneros, sliced jalapenos, wasabi, and a ghost chili siracha swirl; Travis as he takes on the legendary "Travis on a Silver Platter" -- a gargantuan beef-and-bean burrito smothered in red and green chile sauce and buried by an avalanche of french fries; and many more food feats. On Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 9pm ET/PT, Travel aired a one-hour preview of the series, "MAN V. FOOD NATION: THE QUEST BEGINS," one week before the official series premiere.
