Plot Synopsis

MALIBU RESCUE: THE SERIES is a half-hour comedy series that follows Team Flounder, a ragtag group of aspiring junior lifeguards from The Valley, as they compete against the snobby local kids for bragging rights and the ultimate tower at Malibu beach. Kids and teens alike will root for these heroic and funny underdogs and parents will connect with the positive life lessons for their children. On May 13, 2019 Netflix released MALIBU RESCUE, and three weeks later the streaming service debuted eight episodes of the first season of MALIBU RESCUE: THE SERIES on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. The series continues the adventures of this group of junior lifeguards after they have staked their claim on Malibu Beach and the wild adventures that fill their days in the sun. A summer of fun begins as the Flounders take control of Tower 2. But Brody's bad attitude inspires a risky plan -- and a radical transformation. After Garvin blames the Flounders for bad buzz, Tyler and the team prepare for a dazzling reputation reboot.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released MALIBU RESCUE: THE NEXT WAVE, a 70-minute program. As summer returns to Malibu, Team Flounder takes to the beach to host -- and unexpectedly compete in -- the International Beachmaster Competition. Starring: Ricardo Hurtado, Breanna Yde, Jackie R.
