Plot Synopsis

LUCK takes a provocative look at the drama-fileld world of horse racing -- the owners, gamblers, jockeys and diverse gaming industry players. Organized crime figure and big money gambler Ace Bernstein was released from prison after three years, and crafts a complex plan with Gus, his longtime chauffeur and muscle, that involves the race track, where Turo Escalante is a Peruvian trainer of acknowledged accomplishment and sordid repute and Walter Smith is now an old man and a formerly famous trainer. HBO aired the LUCK pilot as a sneak peek on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 10pm ET/PT, and again as the official series premiere on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 9pm ET/PT.
