Plot Synopsis

After dating online but never meeting, couples agree to meet face-to-face for the first time on a deserted island, living together in the same house for a week. These couples have plenty of time to get to know one another when they are stripped of their comforts, electronics and any distraction from one another. Not only do they have zero access to technology, but they must spend 23 hours a day indoors in the Love Prison, where surprise interruptions keep them on their toes. The Love Prison, located on Belden Island in Long Island Sound, is a lone cabin rigged with fixed cameras and there are no visible producers, no visible cameramen and no escape. Plus, video interviews reveal secrets about their past -- both good and bad. After an emotional week, the couples decide whether they will stay together or leave alone and broken-hearted. Each one-hour episode of LOVE PRISON features a different couple, including: wild-at-heart bachelor Billy and single mom Jeanne, who have dated online for six months; LA party girl Rosie and Iowa computer nerd Chris, who have been dating online for two long years; and many more people who have dated online for long periods of time without meeting face to face -- until now.
