Plot Synopsis
Sean Rich and his team of weapons experts travel across the United States, as they search for antique weapons and militaria, authenticate their finds, fire them on a testing range, and then auction them off to the highest bidder. But sometimes they find must-have items for their own personal collections, and make their own pre-auction offers to the seller. Whether they find a navel ship swivel cannon from the late 17th Century to early 18th Century, a Yugoslavian SKS model 5966 or an extremely rare uncut sheet of pre-revolutionary currency, the guys explore history as they assess, test, and auction the bounties of war. Each 30-minute episode highlights their finds at one show, including events in Southern California, Colorado Springs, Houston, and many other cities across America. This series features items, such as: a 16th-century wheellock; a 16th-century German crossbow; an 1894 Winchester rifle; a 17th-century bronze cannon that used glass, rocks and nails as ammunition; an 1873 Colt .45 revolver, an iconic piece of Americana from the Wild West; a Revolutionary War-era blunderbuss, an enormous gun used by pirates to debilitate treasure ships before boarding them for plunder; a MAC 10 submachine gun, the iconic weapon of Hollywood movies like PULP FICTION; a 76-pound bar of silver that may have come from the most famous Spanish shipwreck rescue; an 1853 Enfield rifle from the Civil War; a Kel-Tec RFB .308 rifle; a WWII aircraft searchlight; a pair of 18th Century dueling pistols; an M1 Carbine; a four-Barrel Swivel Breech Pistol from the mid 1700s; a Cushman scooter, used by couriers behind enemy lines in WWII; a Japanese Katana sword; a WWI BAR rifle; a 17th century Spanish rapier; an MG-42, an iconic German World War II machine gun; a collection of letters that a Union soldier sent to his sister from the front lines during the Civil War; a Republic of Texas-era bullet mold; a custom engraved Walther PPK, the famed weapon of German police and secret agents; and many more items that they evaluate, appraise, test and decide whether to include in their auction. The crew includes: Sean Rich, an expert in antique arms, whose vast collection of weapons has been featured in the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise; Larry 'The Hammer' Harley, a third-generation knife maker, who counts sex, hunting, and making knives among his three favorite things in life; Jim Green, the group's practiced gunsmith, who claims he "can pick up an antique gun and almost feel what the person who first used it might have been thinking"; and Adrian 'Shooter' Alford, a gun shop owner, who is rarely stumped, often lending his expertise to many of the gunsmiths working for the top manufacturers.
