Plot Synopsis

LIVING ON THE EDGE is a half-hour reality series that travels across America, visiting off-the-grid houses and meeting the people who live in their dream homes. Each 30-minute episode features three eco-friendly homes, including: a tiny home in Terlingua, Texas, where a cowboy washes clothes with a bicycle; a Nederland, Colorado home built with shipping containers that heats with the sun; an Earthship in Taos, New Mexico made from tires; the ultimate California dream home from straw bales by a family in Santa Cruz; a home with bottles for windows and a roof made of grass in West Chazy, New York; and a super-modern home in Denver, Colorado. Animal Planet aired the two-episode pilot of LIVING ON THE EDGE on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11pm ET/PT, and, based on the number of viewers and audience feedback, the cable channel will decide whether to pick up the program as a series.
