Plot Synopsis
Little people Matt and Amy Roloff may be four feet tall, but they are determined to succeed in a world that wasn't made for them. Raising four children, including teenage twins Zach (little person) and Jeremy (average height), they operate a 34-acre farm, and face the pressure of being little in an average sized world.
LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD returned for its twelfth season on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC, with children Jeremy, Zach, and Molly joining Jacob at home for the summer, which reunites the family on the farm for the first time in two years. The family works together to plan the most memorable weddings for four new couples who intend to tie the knot at Roloff Farms. Patriarch Matt will be faced with some health issues that could put his ability to run the farm in jeopardy. And he, Amy and the children will also support one another as they deal with an upsetting diagnosis for another member of the family. Then, as the summer comes to an end and the kids head back to college, Matt and Amy find themselves alone once again reevaluating their relationship.
On Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, TLC premiered the 13th season of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD. In the season opener, "The Proposal," it's springtime and big changes are in bloom at Roloff farm. Matt and Amy keep a united front at Jeremy's graduation; Amy seeks out a business venture of her own; and Jeremy decides to take his relationship with Audrey to the next level. Later in the season, the focus returns to the farm as the annual pumpkin season is on the horizon, as well as the family getting swept up in all of Jeremy's wedding preparations. But theirs won't be the only nuptials in the works when Zach also announces his intention to get engaged to his girlfriend, Tori. As the next generation prepares to start their new lives, Matt and Amy must reflect on the history of their marriage and the future of their relationship. The season culminates as Audrey walks down the aisle and into the Roloff family.
LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD returned for its 14th season on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC, as Amy and Matt Roloff face new challenges on their continued journey as they raise four children -- comprised of little and average-sized siblings -- while dealing with emotional and operational challenges on their farm in Portland, OR. This season the kids are grown and Jacob, the youngest and last child at home, is about to move out. In the midst of Matt and Amy's evolving relationship and empty nests, there is also celebration and joy blossoming on the farm. Another Roloff family wedding is right around the corner. In the season opener, the entire family comes together to help prepare the farm for the big day with Zack and Tori's wedding just a few months away. Matt and Amy are still unsure what the future holds for their relationship, and youngest son Jacob makes a huge announcement. On Tuesday, July 7 2015 -- one week before the official season premiere -- TLC debuted a two-hour special, "Jeremy & Audrey's Journey to I Do," during which Jeremy and Audrey gave viewers an intimate look into their relationship, from their first meeting up to the big wedding day. Plus, the entire Roloff family share never-before-seen home movies and behind-the-scenes stories.
LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD returned for a its fifteenth season on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC. Matt and Amy Roloff prepare to sign their final divorce papers, and new tensions arise like never before seen on the show. As they embrace their four kids getting older and leading lives of their own, they attempt to live on the same property while managing emotional and operational challenges in order to keep Roloff Farms in the family. This season we find Zach and Tori merging their lives together as newlyweds while Jeremy and Audrey settle into their new home in Bend, Oregon. Molly's graduation approaches and she contemplates her future after college. But Matt and Amy are headed for the biggest change of all as their divorce will become final. Amy seeks to redefine herself in this new phase of her life and decides to not only make over her kitchen but also her appearance. She throws a dinner party on the farm with dear friends and even considers getting a tattoo to commemorate what she calls her "second act." Matt tries to recapture good times with Jeremy and Zach by taking them on a boys' camping trip, but feels his mortality when he is forced to confront long-standing health issues.
Season 16 of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD premiered on November 22, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT on TLC, immediately following "Countdown to the New Season," a new two-hour special (6-8pm) that features exclusive bonus scenes. In the twelfth season, Matt and Amy continue to live their separate yet interconnected lives: Matt having to slow down post-surgery, and Amy full steam ahead with her next chapter. This all while managing the emotional and operational challenges of running the farm. In the season premiere, "Gonna Be a Long Road," Matt gets ready to undergo a life-changing spinal procedure in Los Angeles. As the family prepares for the worst, another major event shakes the farm to the core. Amy, Zach and the rest of the family receive news that their essential and beloved farm foreman Camerino is being deported to Mexico, and can no longer work in the United States. Amy's friends urge her to experience everything that single life has to offer -- including dating. Amy isn't sure she's ready but dips her toe into the pool with a group singles outing, then plunges in headfirst by hosting her own party. And when a man asks her out, everything changes. Matt, always one to take on projects, installs surveillance cameras to keep a watchful eye on the farm at all times. Amy is a very vocal opponent of having her ex-husband's "big brother" cameras always watching. Matt also decks out a giant "preppers" box for emergencies, and engages the entire family to spend time in the bunker for a test run. Meanwhile, Zach and Tori wrap up their first year of marriage with a special anniversary road trip. Jeremy and Audrey continue to explore their freedom as a young married couple in Bend, while feeling the pull of their family and the farm.
On Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT, TLC premiered the 17th season of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD immediately following "Countdown to the New Season," a new two-hour special. With not only one, but two grandchildren on the way, future grandparents Amy and Matt must also navigate divorced life while living 500 feet from each other and running the family farm together. This season viewers can look forward to Zach and Tori Roloff navigating pregnant life leading up to the birth of their first son; as the young couple struggles to get ready for the newest addition to the Roloff family, the major question looming is whether the baby will be a dwarf or not. Jeremy and Audrey Roloff have their own baby news with the surprise that they are pregnant with a baby girl. In addition, Amy is enthusiastically embracing her new role as grandmother and finds herself progressing in her relationship with her boyfriend Chris. Meanwhile, Matt has his own news to reveal that he too is in a relationship. In the season opener, "Navigating Pregnant Life," the family gathers to learn the gender of Zach and Tori's baby, and both Matt and Amy navigate romantic relationships post-divorce. Plus, Jeremy an Audrey ponder where to put down roots.
TLC premiered the 18th season of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, immediately following a two-hour special (7-9pm), "Countdown to the New Season," that features a sneak peek of the new season, which includes ten all-new, one-hour episodes, plus an extra special two-hour episode featuring the birth of Jeremy and Audrey's baby girl, Ember Jean Roloff! Jeremy and Audrey are in a race against time to get everything ready before the baby arrives. With Jeremy working tirelessly to fix up the house, Audrey prepares an ambitious birth plan in which she will deliver the baby without pain medication. Meanwhile, as Amy and her boyfriend Chris celebrate their one-year anniversary, she feels that it is time to integrate Chris into the family dynamic especially with her second grandchild on the way! Viewers also follow Zach, Tori and baby Jackson, whose dwarfism creates even more responsibilities and challenges for the new parents in addition to changing diapers, cleaning bottles and all the demands a newborn brings. Back at the farm, Matt and Caryn prepare for the upcoming pumpkin season. Matt starts to desire a different living situation away from Amy, and the possibility of selling the farm is more likely now than ever before.

At the heart of the season lies the fate of Roloff Farms, as Matt and Amy consider if it's possible to continue running the property together, while their increasingly separate lives and relationships are driving them further apart. It's a season of self-discovery for everyone, as Amy decides to spend time away from the farm, embarking on adventures with her boyfriend, Chris, and enjoying trips with friends. Matt and girlfriend Caryn consider whether their future is in Oregon with the farm, or in Arizona, where they've just purchased a home. New parents Zach and Tori are pushed to their limits as they juggle raising their one-year-old son Jackson, dealing with Zach's health scares, and trying to stay ahead of their mounting financial troubles - and to make it more hectic, they've just welcomed a new puppy into their lives! Against this tumultuous backdrop, Matt and Amy have come to a difficult crossroads and are faced with a major decision over what to do with the family farm. Old wounds surface between the couple as they struggle to come to an amicable conclusion that will be best for the whole family. Much has changed since viewers first watched the Roloffs 14 years ago and the family dynamic continues to evolve following Matt and Amy's divorce. After Matt partially buys out Amy's stake in Roloff Farms, she decides that living 500 feet from her ex-husband no longer suits her lifestyle and embarks upon a journey to find a new home, and by extension, a new life. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Chris has a different milestone in mind -- one that involves a diamond ring! But it's not just Amy whose life is transforming; right as Zach and Tori are getting the hang of being parents to son Jackson, they find out Tori is pregnant again -- this time with a little girl! But this pregnancy proves far more difficult than her first, as Zach and Tori await the news of whether or not their baby will be a little person. On the other side of the farm, Matt and his girlfriend Caryn are figuring out what their future together looks like, and while a lot is up in the air, keeping up with the farm is still a top priority. Despite the obstacles and occasional disagreements, Matt and Amy do their best to put their ever-changing, modern family first, striving to give their children and grandchildren a strong foundation on which to grow. But with the fate of the farm at stake, tensions reach new heights, begging the question: what does the future hold for the Roloff family?

It's the end of an era as Amy prepares to say goodbye to the farm for good. But while she's officially moving off the farm, she still co-owns part of it with Matt, who is eager to get everything settled between them in terms of ownership. Meanwhile, Zach and Tori are experiencing the joys and challenges of parenthood with baby Lilah and Jackson, making sure both children are getting the care and attention they need. The new episodes also offer a glimpse into how the Roloff's world is impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, from a quarantine birthday party to the stress of moving in the middle of a pandemic.
TLC premiered Season 22 of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT, immediately following a one-hour "Countdown to the New Season" special at 8pm. Like the rest of America, the Roloffs are still hunkered down in the midst of the pandemic. As Matt reimagines how to run the family business, Zach contemplates co-owning and running the farm with his dad. Is he ready to handle all that would come with living and working with his father? Meanwhile, after packing up thirty years of memories and moving out of the farmhouse for good, Amy and her fiance Chris start planning their upcoming wedding. But what happens when they realize they don't share the same vision for their big day? And Zach and Tori see firsthand the little victories and big challenges that go along with raising two children.
LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD returned for its 10-episode 23rd season on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC. The Roloffs face big changes and challenging times as a rift in the family causes an unexpected divide that sparks the beginning of a new and very different chapter. Amy and Matt continue to find friendship in unexpected ways as the two, along with Chris and Caryn, spend more time together and even share a trip to Arizona. Meanwhile, tensions arise from a heated farm negotiation between Zach, Tori, Matt and Caryn. And, when the negotiations fall through, Zach and Tori decide to move and make their new home away from the farm while also expecting their third child. And in the midst of everything, Matt makes a decision that could change the farm -- and the family -- forever.
Season 24 of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD premiered on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC. The Roloff Family faces uncertain times. Many hurt feelings remain over Matt's decision to sell the North side of the farm and the waiting game begins on whether Matt can find a buyer. Zach and Tori are settling nicely into their new house in Washington but there's no time to relax because baby #3 shakes things up by coming early. Zach and Tori are now outnumbered and will have to adjust to life with three kids. Matt puts his dream house into overdrive because his plan is still to marry Caryn and move in and enjoy his retirement. Amy and Chris are loving their first year of married life but find themselves caught in the middle of a cold war between Matt and Zach's family. Will Matt and Zach's rift heal so that the Roloff clan can come together?
On Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT, TLC premiered "A Farm Divided," a 60-minute LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD special. The legacy of Roloff Farms is at stake as Matt and Zach fail to reach an agreement on a farm deal; Zach and Tori relocate to Battle Ground, Wash., and welcome a new addition to the family; Matt makes a big decision about what's next for the farm.
Season 25 of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD premiered Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT on TLC, immediately followed by a special episode at 10pm. Just as the Roloffs settle into a rhythm, family surprises and continued tension give rise to new struggles and questions. After an unexpected proposal, Matt and Caryn excitedly look to the future while building their dream home on the farm, but the constant strain on the family makes them wonder what that future will look like. While Amy continues to enjoy married life with Chris, she remains unsettled by the family strife. To help bring the family together and support a cause near and dear to her, she decides to throw a fundraiser and enlists Chris, Matt, and Caryn's help. But it doesn't take long before the stress rises to the surface. Meanwhile, Zach and Tori are enjoying their busy lives with three kids. However, everything is turned upside down when Zach is rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 9pm ET/PT, TLC premiered "Time to Move On?," the Season 25 finale of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD. Chris is still MIA with guests arriving at the charity event. Zach, Tori and the kids head to the zoo. After the fundraiser, Matt and Caryn and Amy and Chris each take trips away to decompress. Later, they return to the farm to ponder what is next.
