Plot Synopsis

Mickey Haller, an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln Town Car, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on the "The Lincoln Lawyer" series of novels by Michael Connelly, the first season is based on the second book, "The Brass Verdict." Following a personal and professional spiral, Los Angeles defense lawyer Mickey Haller receives an unexpected opportunity from a fellow attorney. A high-profile murder trial sends Mickey scrambling to find evidence for his defense, while Maggie offers him a chance to help rebuild her trust. The entire 10-episode first season of THE LINCOLN LAWYER dropped on Friday, May 13, 2022 on Netflix.

The sophomore season of THE LINCOLN LAWYER debuted with five episodes on Thursday, July 6, 2023 on Netflix. The remaining five Season 2 episodes dropped on Thursday, August 3, 2023. The second season is based on the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, "The Fifth Witness." With his firm in great demand and the team busier than ever, Mickey meets a possible new love interest and takes on another high-profile case. Season 2 opens with Mickey meeting a new client, receiving a frustrating request, and making an instant connection with a chef. Lorna has her hands full juggling work and school. The second half of Season 2 debuted on Thursday, August 3, 2023 on Netflix, which released the final five episodes of the new season. As Lisa's trial approaches, Mickey faces doubts, setbacks and unexpected revelations. Lorna and Cisco plan for their big day, while Izzy makes big moves.

Mickey takes on a personal and potentially dangerous case when he defends the person accused of murdering Gloria Dayton, his friend and former client. And with everyone rattled by his dangerous new case, Mickey faces a major blow when an armed robbery trial turns violent. Meanwhile, while Lorna takes the bar exam, Mickey deals with a long-shot motion, a surprise subpoena and a skittish source.
