Plot Synopsis

In the red light district of 1980s Taipei, women at a popular Japanese night club navigate jealousy, heartbreak, friendship and love. In 1988, a group of teens finds a dead body in the woods. Months before, two madams at Light Bar struggle with the men in their lives. Sue comforts Rose over Chiang-han but soon faces an impossible choice. Meanwhile, police launch a drug investigation into Light Bar. A jealous He Yu-en tries to get Sue's attention. Aiko discovers a shocking secret. Police raid Light Bar, but the suspect escapes. In the past, Rose and Sue open Light Bar together. Years later, Rose discovers an unpleasant truth about her best friend. The first eight episodes of LIGHT THE NIGHT dropped on Friday, November 26, 2021 on Netflix.

On Thursday, December 30, 2021, Netflix released an additional eight episodes of LIGHT THE NIGHT, calling them Part 2. Secrets and lies come to light as the women of Light Bar try to identify who killed one of their own.
