Plot Synopsis

THE LIES THAT BIND is a one-hour docuseries that tells stories of murder investigations that gradually exposed one truth after another, revealing the sinister conflicts that simmer beneath seemingly placid and bucolic communities. In some cases these lies can stay hidden, in other cases they are revealed with time. But then there are times when an event is so cataclysmic that everyone's truths are laid bare. In the series opener, "Cult of Personality," a 911 call reports gunshots at the home of TV Host Scott Rogers in 2014. As detectives work to piece together the events that led up to what looks like a murder-suicide, they soon discover a trail of lies from England all the way to Louisiana.

On Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered "Wheeling and Dealing," the season finale of THE LIES THAT BIND. On Feb. 24, 1996, Frank Black Jr., the owner of a school bus company, goes missing. The FBI needs to determine if he is dead, and where's his body? It's a mystery built on lies that can only be solved when someone is brave enough, to tell the truth.
