Plot Synopsis

Overweight, 15-year-old Sheldon Blecher lives in Winnipeg with his self-destructive driving instructor father, a pyromaniac mother and a failed-actor brother who won't get out of his room. Sheldon struggles to manage his teenage years and escape his family, while his family struggles to keep Blecher's Driving School running on all cylinders. Because of actor Maury Chaykin's unexpected death in July 2011, Season 3 of this series begins with the dramatic change following the death of his character, family patriarch Sam Belcher, which leaves the family reeling as they struggle forward in a world without him. DirecTV aired the U.S. premiere of this series on its Audience Network on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 9pm ET.

On October 9, 2013 at 10:30pm ET/PT, DirecTV's Audience Network aired the U.S. premiere of Season 4, more than four months after the season debuted in Canada. In the season opener, Sheldon celebrated his graduation, while Anne suffered from empty-nest syndrome, leading to a tryst.
