Plot Synopsis

THE LAST 24 is a one-hour docuseries that follows determined investigators working the most shocking murder cases as they reconstruct those tragic final 24 hours in the victim's life, in order to catch their killer and crack the case. For detectives, the final fateful hours in a victim's life is a puzzle. Once they can understand each moment leading up to the victim's death, they're able to solve the puzzle and discover the killer. For challenging cases this system is their best shot at getting monsters off the street. Each 60-minute episode features a different case, including:a Jacksonville firefighter who discovered his wife's lifeless body in the bedroom of their gated home; an execution-style murder in a luxurious Miami suburb; and more.

After a 9-month break, THE LAST 24 returned with new episodes on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 11pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In this new episode, "Somebody Knows Something," in rural Michigan, 34-year-old Deborah Boothby is run over on the highway, and for nine years the case goes unsolved. That is, until a team of detectives review the evidence and the hit-and-run cold case becomes a murder investigation.
