Plot Synopsis

In this minimal-dialogue animated series, two silly larva buddies named Red and Yellow find slapstick fun in everything from discovering food to meeting new animal friends. In the series opener, "Mango," Red eats mushrooms that make him sick and is captured by a mysterious masked creature with serious survival skills. Then, in the next story, Yellow helps his pal plan a romantic night for two when Red gets a crush on a brave and pretty larva. On Friday, October 19, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released 13 eight-minute episodes of LARVA ISLAND.

The second season of LARVA ISLAND premiered on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released all 13 episodes of the new season. In the season opener, "Maze," Red and Yellow are lost in a mysterious maze, where they're chased by a unicycle-riding monkey toy and a hungry fish. Then, in the season's second episode, "Fire," Chuck tries to cook some delicious seafood, but Yellow keeps interfering because Red is trapped inside Chuck's fish!

On Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released "The Larva Island Movie," a 90-minute movie sequel to the series. Chuck returns home and talks to a reporter about life on the island with zany larva pals Red and Yellow.
