Plot Synopsis
LABYRINTH is a four-hour miniseries that jumps back and forth between modern and medieval France, following the lives of two women -- Alais Pelletier du Mas and Alice Tanner -- who are separated by eight centuries, but united in their search for the Holy Grail. In the year 1209 in Carcassonne, France, the father of 17-year-old Alais gives her a mysterious book, which he claims contains the secret of the true Grail. Although she cannot understand the book's strange words and labyrinth symbols, her father instructs her to protect the book no matter what happens to him, sealing her destiny. In modern day, a young volunteer named Alice is on an archeological dig in the French Pyrenees and she discovers two skeletons in a forgotten cave. Puzzled by the labyrinth symbol carved into the rock, she realizes she's disturbed something that was meant to remain hidden, revealing a link to a horrific past -- her own past. The CW aired the U.S. premiere of LABYRINTH on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 8-10pm ET/PT, showing the conclusion the following night at the same time.
