Plot Synopsis

While in the underground laboratory of his inventor stepfather's home, 14-year-old Leo discovers three super-human, teen siblings -- Adam, Bree and Chase -- who he takes to school and helps the bionic trio navigate a normal world of high school, friends and family while trying to keep their powers a secret. Leo lives with his stepfather, Donald Davenport, and his mom, Tasha, in a smart house run by Eddy the computer, and soon after settling into his new home, he discovers Davenport's secret underground lab with three experimental, super-human teens: eldest Adam is the strong one, with heat and laser vision; Bree has super speed, can jump high, repel off walls and can defuse any situation quickly; and Chase the youngest but smartest, has unlimited intelligence capacity and the ability to create a force field. The trio, eager to leave their confines, convinces Leo to let them join him at school where they try to fit in while trying to manage their unpredictable bionic strengths. When Davenport finds out that his lab rats have retreated to Leo's school, he isn't too happy, as he fears they could cause damage by mis-using the powers they haven't yet mastered, but he later falls into a fatherly role realizing that he must first be a role-model and mentor to Leo, Adam, Bree and Chase. Along the way, the siblings help Leo build self confidence while he figures out a way to keep their bionic abilities a secret from the world. In the Season 2 premiere, which debuted on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 9pm ET, Adam, Bree and Chase sneak out to meet Marcus in Davenport's new self-driving sports car, but when Leo tries to stop them, his nemesis Marcus traps him inside the car and programs it to take him on a wild, high-speed ride bound for the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. LAB RATS returned for its third season on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 6:30pm ET/PT. In the one-hour Season 3 premiere, the lab rats were on the run as stowaways on a cargo freight headed to the unknown. Once captured by the ship's crew, they were forced to choose between helping a submarine in danger, which would reveal their whereabouts and put them at risk of being caught, or staying quiet. During the rest of the third season, the Davenports were in recovery mode after their bionic secret was revealed to Principal Perry, and Davenport was attacked by a mysterious nemesis that leaves his empire in ruins. LAB RATS made its fourth season premiere with a new story location: Davenport's Bionic Academy, a training facility on a remote island that brings higher stakes and over-the-top missions for Leo and his super-human step-siblings (Chase, Adam and Bree). The new location is accompanied by a new series title, LAB RATS: BIONIC ISLAND, when it debuts in a one-hour season opener on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 8:30-9:30pm ET/PT. The fourth season also includes a special guest appearance by Leo Howard (of Disney XD's KICKIN' IT) and a crossover episode with the superhero comedy series MIGHTY MED. In the hour-long premiere episode, "Bionic Rebellion," Chase, Adam, Bree and Leo learn that a confidante has formed an evil rebellion to exact revenge, leading to a bionic battle of good versus evil.

On Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 8-9pm ET/PT, Disney XD premiered "The Vanishing," a one-hour special event of LAB RATS. The academy students suddenly vanish after receiving an operating system upgrade. The team initially blames a glitch, but realize the kids are pawns in a much bigger master plan. The Lab Rats put their lives at risk when they face off against the vanished students' captors - a nefarious duo they recognize from their past.

LAB RATS: ELITE FORCE, a spin-off of its two popular live-action comedy series, LAB RATS: BIONIC ISLAND and MIGHTY MED, will premiere Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 8:30pm ET/PT on Disney XD. Reprising their starring roles on their respective series are Billy Unger as Chase and Bradley Steven Perry as Kaz, Jake Short as Oliver, Paris Berelc as Skylar, and Kelli Berglund as Bree. Merging the two series, LAB RATS: ELITE FORCE is set in the LAB RATS world after the Mighty Med hospital is destroyed by a band of unknown super-villains. Kaz, Oliver and Skylar join forces with Chase and Bree to form a powerful elite force that combines bionic abilities and superpowers. Together, they vow to track down the villains and keep the world safe.
