Plot Synopsis
Created, written, and executive produced by Chuck Lorre, THE KOMINSKY METHOD is a half-hour, single-camera series that centers on the once famous Sandy Kominsky and his longtime agent Norman Newlander, as these two friends tackle life's inevitable curve balls while navigating their later years in Los Angeles, a city that values youth and beauty. In the series opener, "Chapter 1: An Actor Avoids," directed by Lorre, Sandy gets to know a new student better, and he puts off visiting an old friend who wants to see him. Norman copes with a difficult issue at home. Then, in the subsequent episode, Sandy helps Norman organize an event with complicated arrangements and invites Lisa on an unusual date. Norman is a hit with Sandy's class. Netflix released the eight-episode first season of THE KOMINSKY METHOD on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
THE KOMINSKY METHOD returned for its second season on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire eight-episode season. As they face new relationship, work and health challenges, Sandy and Norman support each other with humor, heart and plenty of sarcasm. Recurring guest stars in Season 2 include: Jane Seymour as Madelyn; Kathleen Turner as Ruth; Paul Reiser as Martin; and more. In the season opener, "Chapter 9. An Actor Forgets," Sandy has concerns about the man Mindy's dating. Norman starts seeing an old flame. Sandy tries to give his class a dose of truth about the acting life.

The entire six-episode third and final season of THE KOMINSKY METHOD dropped on Netflix on Friday, May 28, 2021. Sandy Kominsky has to navigate what aging looks like without his longtime friend Norman Newlander by his side. Life only becomes more complicated with the arrival of Sandy's ex-wife Roz Volander. The pair's famously volatile relationship is further inflamed when she comes to LA to spend time with their daughter Mindy and her boyfriend Martin. Season 3 deals with money, death, love, murder, and dreams coming true. In other words, the usual. Lisa Edelstein, Emily Osment, Graham Rogers and Haley Joel Osment reprise their guest starring roles.
