Plot Synopsis
KILLJOYS is a one-hour drama series that follows a trio of reclamation agents as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant planetary system on the brink of a bloody, class war. Leading the Killjoys team is Dutch, a gorgeous, former assassin with a complicated past; her loyal partner John, a witty, technical wizard with a vulnerable heart, who is dyslexic with learning and reading disabilities; and his estranged brother D'avin, an elite soldier with an expertise in combat tactics. Together, the three Killjoys form a highly accomplished team of bounty hunters, each with distinct and valuable specialties to offer as they navigate the culturally rich, politically complex, and economically polarized worlds of The Quad. Amanda Tapping guest stars as a fiercely clever scientist, whose charismatic charm keeps her true intentions concealed from the Killjoys. KILLJOYS premiered simultaneously at 9pm ET on Friday, June 19, 2015 on Syfy in the United States and the Space channel in Canada.
The 10-episode second season of KILLJOYS premiered on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on Syfy. In the season opener, "Dutch and the Real Girl," Dutch and Johnny have failed to rescue D'avin from Arkyn when they travel to Eulogy, an outlaw-only barter town, in the hopes of stealing a mysterious, high-tech shield from the infamous Connaver gang.
On Friday, June 30, 2017 at 8pm ET/PT, Syfy premiered the third season of KILLJOYS. After sustaining serious personal losses, the trio of interplanetary bounty hunters must come together and prepare themselves for what lies ahead. Tension and tragedy loom over the J Star System as they struggle to assemble an army and prepare for battle. In the season opener, "Boondoggie," Dutch and D'avin are on the hunt for a weapon that will draw out the Hullen; Johnny receives an SOS from Clara.
Season 4 of KILLJOYS premiered on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on Syfy. The end of Season 3 left the Killjoys scattered to the far corners of The J galaxy and beyond. Dutch is on a journey to face her biggest foe yet, while D'av and John are trapped in an elevator in deep space with a pregnant Delle Seyah. They are united by the knowledge of the name of their true enemy: The Lady, an immeasurable manifestation of evil without beginning or end. The Lady is making her play, and the trio has something she wants. In the season opener, "The Warrior Princess Bride," on the run from the Lady while inside the mysterious greenspace, Khlyen weaves a tale to give a wounded Dutch strength: a look back at one of the most important moments in Dutch and Johnny's lives -- their first Warrant and the mission that started it all.
The fifth and final season of KILLJOYS premiered on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on Syfy. In the season opener, "Run, Yala, Run," Dutch realizes The Lady has put Westerley under a collective delusion -- in a world without memory, nothing is what it seems.
