Plot Synopsis
After a young woman, Rosie Larsen, is murdered in Seattle, her death and the investigation affect the personal lives of the detectives, city politicians, high school friendships, the suspects and the grieving family. As the series unfolds, it becomes clear that there are no accidents; everyone has a secret, and while the characters think they've moved on, their past isn't done with them. Sarah Linden is the lead homicide detective; Stephen Holder is an ex-narc cop who joins the homicide division in the investigation; Darren Richmond is Seattle's City Council President running for Mayor; Mitch and Stan are Rosie's mother and father, respectively. Season 3, which premiered on Sunday, June 2 at 8pm ET/PT on AMC with a two-hour debut, begins one year after the close of the Rosie Larsen case chronicled in the first two seasons of THE KILLING, with Sarah Linden no longer working as a detective. But when her ex-partner Stephen Holder's search for a runaway girl leads him to discover a gruesome string of murders that connects to a previous murder investigation by Linden, she is drawn back into the life she thought she'd left behind.

On Friday, August 1, 2014 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released all six episodes of the fourth and final season of THE KILLING. Season 4 picks up right after the Season 3 finale, as Detectives Linden and Holder struggle to manage the fallout from their rash actions at the end of last season, while covering up Skinner's disappearance. Meanwhile, they are assigned a new case -- a picture perfect family is murdered, survived only by the son, Kyle Stansbury, who was shot in the head during the massacre.
