Plot Synopsis

Using interviews, archival footage and trial footage, KILLER TRIALS: JUDGMENT DAY reconstructs the investigations and critical courtroom moments of the world's most horrifying and sensational cases ever brought to trial. On the night the series premiered, Investigation Discovery aired back-to-back 30-minute episodes: "Railroad Killer," which recounted the crimes of Angel Resendez who murdered nine people over a span of two years, and whose trial brought his one surviving victim face-to-face with the man who nearly ended her life; and "Lesbian Vampire Killers," which tells the true story of a woman from Australia who lured her partner and their friends to kill a man -- to drink his blood.
